Several community partners are helping fill our shelves this holiday season. You can support the Utica Food Pantry in the following ways:
During the month of November, purchase a bag full of non-perishable food items at Price Chopper in North Utica, to be donated directly to Utica Food Pantry.
Donate non-perishable food items at Raymour and Flanigan Furniture, 5084 Commercial Drive, Yorkville, November 14 through Thanksgiving.
Stop by Chanatry’s on November 14 from 10am to 6pm for the New Hartford Rotary food drive.
Attend the Schuyler Commons Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, November 15 from 10am to 2pm where proceeds benefit the pantry.
Drop off donations at MVHS locations including Wynn Hospital, Medical Arts on Middle Settlement Road, Faxton Medical Campus, and the HR Office at 201 Lafayette Street from now through the end of the year.
Together, we can make sure every family has food on their table this holiday season.
The Pantry serves the residents of the City of Utica who meet The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) income eligibility requirement. Typical clients include working families trying to make ends meet, people experiencing a temporary job loss, individuals whose SNAP (food stamps) benefits have been reduced, and senior citizens. Seniors often seek help because most are on a fixed income and are impacted by higher medication and health care costs.
The Utica Food Pantry was founded in 1982 when it incorporated as a 501(c) organization. As a private, nonprofit organization we depend entirely on donations from individuals, corporations, foundations and other strategic partners.
