Mark your calendars for the 4th annual “What’s for Lunch” giveaway, hosted by the Utica Food Pantry. This event will take place on Monday, August 28th, Wednesday, August 30th, and Thursday, August 31st, between 11 am and 1 pm at the Utica Food Pantry’s location on 729 Broadway St., Utica.

Families residing within the Utica school district and having school-aged children are eligible for this initiative. They are welcome to visit the pantry during the specified dates and times to collect a bagged lunch designed to cover 5 days. While most Utica schools have been offering complimentary lunches to school-aged children throughout the summer, this service concludes during the last week of the summer vacation.

The Utica Food Pantry is stepping in to bridge this gap by providing a weekly bag of lunch items during the crucial final week before the school year begins. Each bag will contain sufficient provisions for 5 lunches. This significant endeavor would not be possible without the support of our local community and the generosity of sponsoring partners like Hannafords and Compassion Coalition.

Our mission is clear: no child within the Utica city limits should have to experience hunger. If you would like to learn more about the Utica Food Pantry and contribute to our cause, please reach out. Your support can make a meaningful difference.
